Nicotine and vapor delivery systems are used by millions of people across the globe. That said, vape-users should be aware that these electronic cigarettes come with certain risks. Here are warnings to consider before using an e-cigarette pod device.

Health Warning

People at risk of heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, or taking certain medications should avoid the use of e-cigarettes. Battery Warning

Lithium-ion batteries are volatile. They can burn or explode with improper handling and use. Overuse of vaping products may cause overheating, malfunction, burns, or injuries. Keep away from extreme heat, immediate sunlight, cold temperatures, humidity, and all liquid. Do not replace batteries with non-approved units. Do not combine new and used batteries or different products. Always use a fire-proof container. Always have a fire extinguisher in the event of a fire. Do not use products that appear damaged. In the event the battery begins to balloon, swell, smoke, or become extremely hot, disconnect the power to your home or office from the circuit breaker immediately. If a circuit breaker is unavailable, disconnect from the outlet immediately. Do not approach the battery for at least 2 hours and ensure there is ventilation in the room. Do not break, damage, or tamper with the batteries. Always use a surge protector. Do not throw batteries into fire or heating substances. Do not connect improperly.

Rechargeable Systems

Do not charge batteries unless they are specifically labeled as “rechargeable”. Do not carry or store batteries together with a metallic item. Unplug the charger when not in use. Do not charge the vape device in your vehicle or car. Do not use or charge with non-approved units. Never leave a vaping device charging or plugged into computers, laptops or walls when not in use. Do not leave the item unattended while charging or overnight. When charging, keep away from flammable areas, including, but not limited to, wood and carpets.

Keep away from children and pets. Should a child/pet swallow or chew on a battery, contact your local Poison Control Center or a physician immediately. Always turn off vaping systems with on/off switches when not using.
